The seminar continued with the presentation of the Director of Probation Service Shkoder. He emphasized the raised number of offences due to drug use and he mentioned all the benefits provided from the collaboration of Probation Service and partnership Association on this purpose. He referred to concrete cases, to the appropriate procedure related to the reference letter, in order to delegate the responsibility of Partnership Association and their effective programmes with the main objective in their rehabilitation and reintegration.
As agenda indicated, the presentation continued with Ms. Enkelejda Ngjelina, Project Officer. Her presentation was focused in the function and structure of Methadone Centre, in Tirana and local centres, she referred to positive effects this treatment provides and explained the application of the therapy. She concluded the responsible medical, social and psychological structure held on this purpose.
The last presentation was held by Ms. Marinela Sota, Executive Director of Refraction Association. Her presentation raised the knowledge of the participants in explain the main programmes her association offers. Mainly she referred to the Anger Management Program and its effectiveness in crime reduction.
During this seminar the participants discussed actively on different issues referring to Methadone Maintenance Therapy, the rehabilitation of offenders after the Probation Service period finished. Another key issues was the classified information about this subject and the elimination of discrimination of this target group in the community and the conditions for providing a complete rehabilitation and its duration.
